About the author
de Cesco, Federica (Spaghetti für zwei)
Born in Northern Italy in 1938, de Cesco spent her early
years in East Africa, Germany, Belgium and Spain. She wrote
her first book at age 15 and went on to study languages, art
history and psychology at university. Since 1962 she has
lived in Switzerland and is married to Kazayuki Kitamura, the
Japanese photographer. Her books often look at the
differences between cultures and she has become one of the
most popular authors of German fiction for young people.
