THHGFA01B: Process financial transactions
This unit deals with the skills and knowledge required to
process and balance financial transactions in a range of
hospitality and tourism contexts. These fundamental skills
are essential for many people in a frontline customer service
role in a range of tourism and hospitality contexts.
Transactions may include but are not limited to:
- credit cards
- EFTPOS
- advanced payments
- company charges
- travellers cheques
- cheques
- deposits
- vouchers
- refunds
- foreign currency
Critical aspects of assessment
Evidence of the following is critical:
- ability to consistently conduct accurate and secure
financial transactions within accepted enterprise
timeframes.
- knowledge of security principles and procedures in
relation to cash handling and other financial
documentation.
