Studying for work in industry

There are two main ways in which a person can study for entry into a trade. However, the main training provider in Australia is the Technical and Further Education (TAFE) system. This is a government system that works closely with industry to ensure courses are properly designed to train people for the workplace.

The other way is to gain an apprenticeship or traineeship and study at a private provider's facilities. A private provider is a company with accredited in-house training facilities for a given industry group.

If you search for industries by the category industry according to the following list you will get information on many courses available to study. When you select a particular course of study, the system will give you a list of training institutions where that course is offered.
