Core 2: Factors affecting performance

How does the acquisition of skill affect performance?

Characteristics of the learner

Due to the uniqueness of individuals, we all learn at different rates. The speed at which an individual learns is dependent on a number of personal characteristics. Each of us has different physical characteristics (e.g. body type, height, weight, muscle composition, age and gender), social and emotional characteristics (e.g. character, motivation, personality and attitudes) and special aptitudes (e.g. mental capacity, prior experience and quickness of understanding).
