- The Physics section
of the web site of the
Learning Materials Production
(LMP), a
unit of the NSW Department of Education and Training that
develops materials for delivery to distance education
students. The site has recommended module-specific
links.
- The Physics section
, of the UniServe Science
, a site maintained by
Sydney University, that seeks to enhance the quality of
university and school science teaching by maintaining and
disseminating information on up-to-date and innovative
materials for use throughout Australia. The site also
publishes reviews, criticism and ideas related to teaching
and learning materials for science. It is a great starting
point if you or your students are seeking information on
syllabus content. The site has recommended module-specific
links.
- Home page, School of Physics, The
University of New South Wales
. A web site that provides
much interesting and useful information for physics
students, such as information about current research and
career opportunities.
- Astronomy: Resource suggestions for the
new NSW Stage 6 Syllabus
is a site developed by the
Australia Telescope National Facility. It refers
specifically to those modules that deal with astronomical
topics. Apart from the information on three syllabus
modules, The Glossary of astronomical terms and
the Astronomy careers section will be useful to
many students.

Macquarie University
- Science Research Resources:
This site is a collection of articles on research selected
from the broad sciences and presented under the four
primary fields of Biology, Chemistry, Physics
, and Earth and
Environment.
- Astronomy nights:Macquarie
University's Foundation for Astronomy holds astronomy
nights at the Macquarie Campus twice a year in March and
October. On the open night up to 20 telescopes are in
operation and there are displays of telescopes, books, maps
and posters. Bookings are not required. Entry fees are $8
per adult and $4 per child (maximum of $20 per family).
