- The Physics section
of the web site of the
Learning Materials Production
(LMP)
now subsumed by the Centre for Learning Innovation, a unit
of the NSW Department of Education and Training that
develops materials for delivery to distance education
students. The site has recommended module-specific
links.
- The Physics section
, of the UniServe Science
, a site maintained by
Sydney University, that seeks to enhance the quality of
university and school science teaching by maintaining and
disseminating information on up-to-date and innovative
materials for use throughout Australia. The site also
publishes reviews, criticism and ideas related to teaching
and learning materials for science. It is a great starting
point if you or your students are seeking information on
syllabus content. The site has recommended module-specific
links.
- HSC physics resource guide for
teachers
A web site provided by the School of Physics,
The University of New South Wales, for teachers. Papers are
available from the 9th Biennial Science Teachers'
Workshop, held in June 2000.
- Astronomy: Resource suggestions for the
new NSW Stage 6 Syllabus
A site developed by the
Australia Telescope National Facility. It refers
specifically to those modules that deal with astronomical
topics.

: This site is a collection of
articles on research selected from the broad sciences
and presented under the four primary fields of Biology,
Chemistry, Physics
, and Earth and
Environment.
- Astronomy nights: Macquarie
University's Foundation for Astronomy holds
astronomy nights at the Macquarie Campus twice a year
in March and October. On the open night up to 20
telescopes are in operation and there are displays of
telescopes, books, maps and posters. Bookings are not
required. Entry fees are $8 per adult and $4 per child
