All workplaces need procedures for getting the work done. These may or may not be written down. In today’s workplaces new procedures are often introduced to improve quality and productivity. Managers and workers need to work closely to ensure that workers are up-to-date with all new procedures.
Some examples of practices that can be followed to improve quality and/or productivity are:
Most workplaces have systems in place for monitoring quality and productivity. For example, records may be kept of how much mulch has been applied to plants, what sort of mulch and when it was applied, or temperature in a green house.
