Developing a time plan is an effective way to manage your time when working on your major textiles project. The first step is to map out Year 12. Do this by working with the weeks within the terms and include the holidays. Remember this will vary each year. Also consider your school assessment guidelines or calendar.
The time plan below gives you some ideas of what to include. You will need to fill it out in more detail to suit your needs.

In the outline above, you will see dates given for each section. This will help save you from a big rush at the end, as well as provide you with a quality project, worth a good mark. You will have to discuss the dates with your teacher and fit in your examination periods accordingly. You must also realise that while you have due dates for each portfolio section, you will not be marked by your teacher, however they may choose this time for editing any mistakes, or making suggestions.
To achieve an excellent mark, you will need to do some pre-thinking and planning. Stick to your time plan and you will be able to achieve a quality project and portfolio.
